Since we are all friends here, I figured it was about time I start sharing my odd fears that I have with you all.  We all have our things, right?  And they’re part of what make us who we are, so we should have no shame in sharing.  Now, I could write endless posts on this subject and tackle my numerous fears and paranoias.  But today I’m just going to stick with one of my top ones:  the dentist.  Oh my goodness, do I fear the dentist and loathe everything about it.  I’ve had some seriously traumatizing dental experiences from childhood that really helped create this for me.  And I avoid going at all costs, but I suck it up and go eventually.

However, this ridiculous fear of me has definitely driven me to become fairly obsessive about my dental care at home.   I love brushing my teeth and do it several times a day.  As a child, I would brush so excessively that my parents would tell me to slow it down.  I love using Listerine and floss post-brush twice a day.  And I am sucker for a great tooth product.

I didn’t pack my cariPRO electric toothbrush when we traveled last week, and besides Maggie and my bed, it was the thing I missed the most.  Once you start using a really great electric toothbrush, nothing else can compare  – or feel as clean.

But my genetics are working against me and I have very sensitive teeth and gums, so my love of brushing can become painful quickly.  I can’t tell you guys how excited I was to retire my old electric toothbrush and start using the new cariPRO Ultrasonic toothbrush from Smile Brilliant.  You may remember my post on their amazing teeth whitening system here.  Based on how well they do an at-home whitening product, I knew this toothbrush would be amazing.  Plus, it has a whitening setting on it that requires just two minutes of your day to use.  I’ve been doing this after lunch or dinner most days to get that extra kick of whitening!  I love that this brush comes with five different settings, including sensitive for those of us with more, ahem, needy teeth and gums. ????

Here is what I really think…

I’ve owned basically all of the electric toothbrushes at some point over the last ten years.  And no, I don’t even think I’m joking about that.  In my very non-professional, sensitive mouth, teeth-cleaning obsessed opinion, the cariPRO is the BEST of the best!  Unlike other electric toothbrushes, this one does not bother my super sensitive teeth and gums, whitens AND gives me a deep clean.  I actually took a break from using electric toothbrushes prior to trying the cariPRO because I wasn’t able to find one that was gentle enough for me to use everyday comfortably.  If you’re anything like me, then you understand what a relief it is to brush and whiten without discomfort.  Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it comes with a very small charging space and in a chic gray hue to keep your counter clutter free and pretty!
