The Weekend Edit

Happy Friday babes!  We have been passing sicknesses around our house this week, so a couple of days without early school wake up’s are going to be so nice.  I’m currently on the couch with my favorite wellness tea (hot water, lemon, ACV, raw honey and Thieves), counting down until Olympics Opening Ceremony time.  Does anyone else love the Olympics as much as I do?  I’m so excited for the next couple of weeks and all of the figure skating, skiing and bobsledding.  True story, Cool Runnings was one of my favorite movies ever as a kid and I tried to watch it as many times in a row as I could.  Until it got stuck in the VCR and ruined both the player and tape.  Tear.

Now, onto all of the good stuff from this week!

French Hair Trends 2018 //  When in doubt, trust the French for fashion and beauty trends.  I love the Bebe Bang (would look awful on me), and the French Girl Cut (what my hair usually ends up looking like.)

Best Ikea Products // It’s no secret that I love Ikea, and this list is so good.  I’m loving the Lack shelf, Gladom rug, and Aina curtains.  We have a bunch of pieces on this list including the Docksta table, Ektorp sofa and Kallax shelves, and love them all.

Survive A Hangover // Let’s be serious, we have all been here at some point.  Tips for getting through it and easing it; this is bookmarked for sure!

Beauty Products // A great list of products that a beauty editor would buy after trying them.  I ordered a few things off of this list to try, because if you can’t trust a beauty editor, then who can you trust? ????

Lip Stains // A round up of and honest opinions on high-end and drugstore lip stains.  Read before you buy because this is such a hit or miss product.

The Truth About Blogging // I love when bloggers share the honest truths about the industry.  This post is a great look at the budgeting behind the scenes and how clothes play into it.

Asos // I can never say no to blue and white stripes, a great white tank, or an oversized button down.

Blue and White Dress // I know, more blue and white.  But this dress is easy, breezy, and only $32!

Statement Earrings // I am all about statement earrings right now, and this pair hits the mark at a seriously great price.  They come in three colors, too!

Braided Sandal // This style sandal sells out every year, so snag it now if you love it!  The gold is a really versatile color and these work as well with shorts as they do with a dress.

Leopard Mule // The perfect transitional shoe for indecisive weather.

Suede Blouse // This is at the top of my current shopping list.  It is all kinds of perfect.

Shirt Jacket // The shirt jacket is a piece I can definitely get behind.  It’s a shirt, it’s a jacket!  And it’s on sale and comes in a bunch of colors.

Banana Republic // Up to 40% off $200 purchase with code BRFRESH

Old Navy // 20% off with code SWEET

Have the best weekend!  -XO

Bring on all the blue and white! And YES to the Olympics! I set the DVR to record every single second, and I’m kind of sad for no more Bob Costas this year. As cheesy as he was, he was the Olympics! Hope you’re all feeling better <3

I don’t know what to do without Bob Costas and we are only one day in! He graduated from my college and is basically an idol to all of the grads from there. I’m adjusting slowly 🙁

I hope everyone feels better soon! I watched a little figure skating last night, but the opening ceremonies are my favorite!! What are those fun roses?!

The roses are actually soaps! The petals come off individually to use in a bath or for hand soap. They’re scented and smell amazing so I keep them in the terrarium and it makes our bedroom smell so good!
