Beauty Favorites // Lip Crayons and Makeup Towels

I’m back with some more beauty favorites today!  My beauty shopping is so out of control these days, I am going to be stocked for life soon.

I swear that pregnancy skin and hair requires a totally different care routine and makes you feel like you’re living in someone else’s body.  My normally dry skin is oily, my normally oily hair is bone dry.  Loose curls and waves in my hair are now tight, misshapen spirals, and redness and acne are my face’s new norm.  It’s so bizarre!

All that being said, I am constantly trying new products and splurging on makeup right now.  If you can’t buy clothes and shoes, buy everything else! ????

Laura Geller Moisturizing Lip Crayon

These magical little lip crayons were a gift from someone that Avery grabbed and ran off with.  I actually had to steal them back from me eight year old! ????  Don’t, worry, I still share them with her.

These glide on so smoothly and stay on.  I love that these have staying power and buildable color.  They can be a light wash or more of a pop, depending on how many layers you put on.  Her other products have cult followings and rave reviews (blushes and highlighters in particular) so I was excited to get my hands on these.

The two colors Avery and I have are Mango Sorbet (top) and Fig Prosecco (bottom.)

My verdict is that if you are a lipstick lover, these are a beauty bag must have! Shop lip crayons here.

Erase Your Face Makeup Removing Towels

I snagged these makeup removing towels on a recent Bed, Bath and Beyond trip.  Holla for that $5 off coupon!  Amanda talks about how much she loves hers, so I had to try them for myself.

My feelings are very specific on these.  I absolutely love that they are reusable.  You just toss them in the laundry and you’re good to go!  They don’t do the best job at getting my face makeup off, i.e. foundation and concealer.  However, they are great at removing eye make up and lip stick.  If you use LipSense, these are awesome at removing it.  In the last picture I am removing the lip crayons with the tiniest bit of water.  My lips were perfectly clean.

I keep these next to my sink and use them to remove any makeup from the back of my hands when I am applying, as well.  If you know how to use them to get your face makeup off better, please let me know!

Thanks for reading and have a fabulous day babes!  -XO

  2. I need to try these makeup towels. I’m impressed that they get eye makeup off! I usually have to resort to coconut oil for that!

Definitely give them a try! Eye make up always kills me. I know I am using them wrong for removing my skin makeup, so please figure that part out for me 😉
