8 Shoes for Spring and Summer

Do you know what every girl needs in her closet when the seasons change to warm?  Eight shoes for Spring and Summer.  Why eight?  I went through my closet with a fine tooth comb and thought about what I consistently wear and purchase and this was the magic number.  I have eight pairs on solid rotation for these seasons with a few others sprinkled in.  I believe if you invest in core pieces that will last year, you don’t need much else.  I personally stick to neutrals as they work with so much more, but you can get any of these in an array of colors to match your personal preference and wardrobe.

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

everyday flip flop – Tkees hands down the best flip flops ever.  I have bought a new pair every Spring for the last four years.  I wear them until they fall apart.  They are ridiculously comfortable and match everything.  I wore these when we spent a day at Magic Kingdom.  That was about 20,000 steps in them perfectly fine.  I cannot say enough good things about these.  Get yourself a pair!  They run TTS.

fun sneaker – Warmer weather often means more outdoor activities for us as a family.  Those almost always include lots of walking.  I like to have a fun sneaker to wear for these things that will match a dress as well as shorts.  These run huge, size down one to one and a half sizes.

the class flat sandal – Jack Roger’s Navajo’s are a true preppy girl Summer staple.  My gold pair are pushing ten years old, and are in just as good of shape as they were new.  These match virtually everything, but definitely need breaking in when you first get them.  They are pricey, but worth every penny.  Their classic look never goes out of style and works with everything!  These run a little small and narrow, but stretch with wear.

lightweight sneaker – For me, warmer weather means taking more workouts outdoors.  It also means lightening up on everything I can, including bulky sneakers.  When I am walking or jogging outdoors as opposed to indoor classes, I like a lighter shoe.  It makes movement easier, plus they are cute enough to wear all day or when you’re not working out!  The reviews say these fit TTS, but I think they run small.  Go up a half size.

the fun sandal – You always need one fun pair to have in your shoe rotation.  These are neutral enough to match a lot, but the detailing makes them a little more fun and unexpected.  Plus, they are a Target find at a ridiculous price!  These are TTS.

the mule – I’m so glad mules are still here, and it looks like to stay.  The stacked here gives so much support and they are really great for elongating the leg.  These runs TTS, maybe even a little bit small.

the flatform – These shoes are the 70’s take on the wedge.  They take a little getting used to when you first wear them, as the weight is evenly distributed.  However, they are really comfortable once you start wearing them and give the traditional espadrille a fun vintage feel.  These run TTS.  If you are between sizes, size down.

the dressy heel – A dressy heel in a neutral color is a necessity.  It will go with anything, plus the heel is substantial enough to give support to last you for a night of being on your feet.  Total college style:  call these the “going out” shoe. ????  These run TTS.  Go up a half size if your feet swell.

  1. Loving all your picks, but you already know I have a big spot in my heart for the rose gold superstars. I wish I had known how huge they run, but all is well now <3
