Top Five Sephora Sale Picks

Sephora Sale Picks

Sephora Sale

Hey babes!  Who knew there was a big Sephora sale going on?  I was totally shocked when I got the email about it because I don’t remember this happening before.  But, I’m not here to complain, I’m here to shop!  When I saw the alert for the Sephora sale hit my inbox the idea for this blog post hit me.  Five is a great number for a shopping trip – not too few, not too many.  Five is also a great base to have for any beauty routine.  When we add too much in, it all starts to get too complicated.  So in terms of simplicity and basic-ness (since we are discussing a beauty product sale, after all,) we go with five.

Now, actually selecting my top five buys was hard.  Sure, I have tried and true, ride or die products for my hair, skin, makeup, perfume, etc.  But that is a long list and I could honestly give you five in each category.  So this list is my top five, selecting from all of these categories.  We are talking, stuck on a deserted island and can only bring your top five.

Have I overcomplicated this enough for you yet?  I realize that I just spent two paragraphs justifying this post, but I really want to emphasize my love of these products, and just how much I choose them over others.  Enough chit chat, let’s talk about these five awesome products!

T3 Straightening Iron

Of any hair tool in my arsenal of beauty weapons, this straightener gets the most use.  I use it to straighten and to curl my hair.  In fact, I usually choose it over my curling tools to get a great curl or wave.  Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the shades it is sold in are so pretty and girly.  I’m honestly shocked that there is not a five star review on this product on the Sephora website, but that happens.  I’ve loved all of my T3 products (all purchased with my own money,) and truly feel that they are the best of the best and don’t leave my hair fried and damaged.

Artis Oval Brush

I snagged this brush at the last VIB sale and boy has it earned its ROI since.  It took a lot to sell me on this due to its high price point.  I only bought it because it was with a discount, and even then I was skeptical.  But a few video tutorials and blog post perusals later, I was sold.  It applies foundation better than any other brush I’ve tried, hands down.  It’s also incredibly versatile and works to apply concealer, powder, shadow and bronzer just as well.  I’m thinking of devoting an entire post to this magical tool because I have successfully used it to apply an entire face of makeup.  That’s right, one tool, one full face of makeup.

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops

Let me put it very simply in terms of this product:  it lives up to the hype.  These go out of stock constantly, but are frequently still available in store, so if you see them, grab them!  This tiny bottle can give you an amazingly natural, easy full body tan in just a few drops.  I’ve been using them all Summer on my face since I don’t like to get sun on it.  When I’m feeling like I need a color boost, I add a few drops into my face or body lotion post-exfoliation, and I have a great glow.  I’ve taken them on all of our Summer trips because they are so small and easy to pack.  Just a little bit goes a long way, so do keep that in mind.  But I personally feel that these can easily replace all of my other self-tanning products because of their versatility and delivery.

it Cosmetics CC Cream

Everyone raves about this magical CC cream because it truly is amazing.  I could happily toss all of my other tinted moisturizers and foundations and only use this pretty much forever.  It gives such amazing, buildable coverage while providing moisture and insane sun protection.  It works better at keeping sun off my skin than any face sunscreen I’ve tried.  I honestly can say that I have yet to find a better face base product than this.

Lisse Luxe Long Hair Towel

While thick hair can be a blessing, when it comes to drying, it can be a bit of a curse.  It is very time consuming to get it dry and styled and any tool that helps cut down on that time is a blessing.  I bought one of these hair towels two years ago to try, and have not stopped using it since.  I’m glad I got a second because I need one on hand constantly.  Avery uses it as well, and we always bring one when we travel.  It soaks so much water out, which in turn speeds up the drying process.  It’s super gentle and easy to twist up, and no matter how damp it gets, it never gets stinky.  Gross, but it’s a major plus!
