Hi friends! I can’t tell you how excited I am for today’s post! I’m doing a StyleChest review with the help of my littlest lady, Riley. It took me such a long time to put together because of my little assistant. In fact, she’s in many of the pictures because she is in a stage where we absolutely cannot put her down. No matter what. At all. No if’s, and’s or but’s. If you get my drift here. 😏
Back to the topic at hand – StyleChest try on! StyleChest is a curated personal styling service that ships right to your home where you can try everything on and decide what to keep or return. I know there are a lot of similar-ish services available, but this one is different. Everything in the box comes from the most fabulous New York City boutique. The owner not only has impeccable style herself, but sources amazing pieces that you cannot find anywhere else.
Blue and White Dress
If I had to pick a favorite piece from my box, it would one thousand percent be this dress. I all but squealed when I opened the box and saw it. It’s blue and white stripe perfection! The cut and drape are so well done and such high quality, plus the detailing on the bottom layers and bust area is phenomenal. I want to wear this all day, every day because it is so comfortable and has an under layer that prevents it from being sheer.
The shoulder detailing on this dress, you guys, it’s just everything. I love how unique it is and what a great complement it is to the more classic toile patterns on the dress. This could easily be dressed up or down with your shoe choice. I think a nude espadrille wedge would be perfect for evening or a neutral flat slide for day. Because of the pattern and shoulder details I would not wear many accessories with this number. It needs to be the star of the show!
Off the Shoulder Dress
This dress is one of those things that instantly make you feel like your best self when you slip it on. The major selling point for me is that the sleeves are attached to the dress and made of elastic, so there is no slippage. No one wants to spend the evening constantly adjusting the sleeves.
Two Piece Floral Set
I truly never thought that I could wear a two piece set after my third child, and I almost avoided even trying this on for that reason. I’m so glad I did because it feels amazing on in the Summer heat. Plus, it doesn’t look like it’s two separate items! The oversize floral is a slimming pattern, and the all white background gives it a little bit of a romantic feel. If you’re so inclined, you could also wear each piece separately with something else in your closet.
I’ve already worn this romper twice and just washed it again today for later this week. It has a great high waist fit and an adjustable tie front. Now this may not work if you are larger chested, but you could easily adjust the tie and wear a bra with it. I was so surprised with how much I loved this pattern as it isn’t something I wouldn’t normally pick for myself. But, that is the best part about this service – you try things you may have missed out on otherwise!
Floral Mini Dress
Immediately after I snapped these pictures Riley had a full on meltdown. She adored this dress and wanted to wear it herself, but it runs a little large for a toddler. 😉 This screams Joie to me and I love the ruffled bottom and that there was an opaque under layer. I didn’t end up keeping this because it was too short on me, but if you’re petite, this would be so adorable on!
How fun is this butterfly pattern? I want to purchase everything in it and actually saw someone in a shorter version of this same print last week! I didn’t end up keeping this as I have no wear to wear it, but it was so fun to try on. It felt so effortlessly glam and it has pockets. You can never go wrong with that combo!
Another really fun piece that I know I didn’t need. But it was so fun to wear for a few minutes. The bright orange shade would actually look great on anyone and the cut is done so well that it could work in a chic business environment.
Bow Back Blouse
I’m such a sucker for a bow detail and this top did not disappoint! It is a bit sheer, but just so much fun and has that little extra something to make it not so everyday.
