This post is fully inspired by my crazed late night packing yesterday for our long weekend trip. For so many years I would stick to all tans or all blacks when it came to my outfits, and especially when it came to packing. It took me thirty-ish years to realize that it is more than ok to mix your base neutrals. This black and tan sweater is the perfect example of this scenario. Instead of sticking to a brown/tan/beige versus a black/gray palette, just go right ahead and combine them all. So now my suitcase is full of all of the black and tan pieces. And maybe a bunch of other colors because I’m so into mixing it all and I waited until the very last minute to pack. 😉
Now, let’s chat about this sweater. I’m not one to ever say no to a built in shirt combo because it gives you layers with less effort. It’s selling out in sizes very quickly online, but is still available in store and fits true to size. The shirt bottom is long enough to cover your tush and wear with leggings depending on height (I’m 5’7 for reference.) And these pants, oh these delicious pants. I swear there is magic in them, because when I put them on, I feel like I can take on the world. Plus, they fit so well and somewhere in the gray area between legging and pant. I’m not one to obsess over pants in this way, but do yourself a favor and grab yourself a pair!
