Gingham is having such a moment the past few years, and I’m really hoping it’s here to stay. I love how simple and classic the pattern is. It’s traditional and brings back memories of my grandparents’ house from when I was really young. I have a roll of gingham wall paper sitting in one shopping cart and gingham sheets for Greyson’s room in another. And lots of gingham making its way into my closet, including this dress.
Here’s a fun story about the first time I wore this dress when we were in Disney World. Riley was hungry and just fully went for it, pulling down the whole front of it while we were waiting for our dinner reservation. I’m fairly certain everyone in the waiting area saw it happen. Oops. The joys of children, right?
I’m thinking of putting together an entire post just on all of the blue and white goodies, because I can never say not to that color combo. And I know I’m not the only one because I read your blogs and follow your Instagrams, and I know you all love it too!
First and most importantly, this dress is now on sale! I’m shocked by the new price because it’s such a classic piece, so if you’re eyeing it, grab it before it’s gone! Size-wise, it runs larger, particularly in the chest. The straps are tied and adjustable as such, so you can work with it. It’s not see through at all, but if a breeze comes, the inevitable will happen, so wear your Spanx shorts! And my shoes are old, but I found them in stock and in a newer style. They are so comfortable and easy to walk in, especially for the height they give you. And I highly suggest pairing it with some leopard, because leopard is a neutral in my book. 😉
