Would you believe I never knew that I needed a jumpsuit in my life until I got one? I don’t know why I was so against them for so long. Take that back – I actually do know. It mainly had to do with the idea of trying to use the restroom while wearing one and the extra amount of time that would require. Isn’t that such a mom thing to think?
I wore this the other night when Josh and I finally escaped for a date night. Our first real one in at least a year. Finding a babysitter has been so hard, but mostly because I have such a hard time trusting people and giving up control, especially when it comes to my children. But a night out with my husband is so good for our marriage and for us as people. Our kids, work, and all of the daily stresses of life take over so easily that we forget what life was like before all of those things. A couple of hours here or there to tune that out is just amazing and necessary.
Jumpsuit: Loft | Sandals: Ash, also here, similar style here | Bag: Zac by Zac Posen (unavailable), larger size here | Bracelet: John Wind
In terms of sizing, this jumpsuit runs very big, particularly in the chest and top. I sized down in it and while it was snug in the tummy (post-baby body problems) it was still large in the chest. I wore a padded bra with it to help it fit better. It’s very lightweight and is perfect for hot weather. it was pushing ninety degrees when we took these pictures and I felt perfect temperature wise.
Let’s take a quick second to talk about these precious sandals. They’re an amazing designer dupe, but still a little higher in price. However, they’re fantastic quality and really well made. They wear amazingly and are so comfortable. My girlfriend has the sandals too and raves about them all of the time. She convinced me that I needed them, and she was so right!
