Valentine’s Day is here!  I tend to devote entire weeks to holidays because, with kids, that is about how much time they take up.  Between shopping and prepping for them at home and at school, plus school parties and any special plans we have as a family, something as simple as Valentine’s Day can take a solid seven days.

So, yes,  this is one of those love or hate holidays, which I totally get and respect.  I fall into the love it category for a few reasons.  I’m secretly a romantic at heart, and this is just the epitome of cheesy romance in a day.  My kids love all holidays, and this day is no exception.  And I love anything they love.  Except Play-Doh.  I’m a girly-girl who loves pink and this is the perfect excuse to hit the Target Dollar Spot for all of the pink and purple goodies.

But, said kids have changed our plans over the years, and now it is all about the night in.  I’m all about easy Valentine’s Day style.  Easy style every day these days, actually.  We are cooking steak and crab legs and bingeing on Netflix.  We’re hooked on Gotham and Riverdale right now, both are so good!  Since the kids won’t touch what we are cooking, they’re getting mac and cheese and cupcakes for all, because #anyexcuseforacupcake.   I will probably be changing into some sweat pants, because, it seems like an elastic waist band kind of meal. 😉  Until then, it’s my favorite sweatshirt and raw hem denim.  It’s also the perfect excuse for my brightest pink bag.  P.S. it’s on sale and holds a surprising amount of stuff – there are multiple baby toys in it here!
