Hi babes, remember me? It’s been a minute. And I really needed a minute. I took a mini blogging and work break last week. Between having Riley and our everyday life, it all has started to catch up to me. I am exhausted, cranky, and operating on zero cylinders most days. Sometimes, we just need to push pause and take a step back.
I am typing this one handed while holding a sleeping baby and sipping cold coffee. My house is thrashed, to put it mildly. I need to deep clean everything and maybe finally finish unpacking from our move (that was four months ago.) Most days I throw on the same pair of workout shorts and sweat shirt and might run a brush through my hair. My to-do list keeps growing, without much getting checked off of it. I forget to send in things the kids need for school, don’t feed the dog on time and have left the house without brushing my teeth. I have managed to get out of the shower completely forgetting to shave one leg and put dish soap in my coffee the other day. #losingmymind
But it is ok. I am learning to be ok with it. Not everything is going to be easy or perfect and that is life. Life goes in stages and I am learning to accept that perfection doesn’t need to be a goal.
And sometimes a shower is the best treat. It’s the little things. 😉
Now, let’s chat about this sweater, before it sells out.
I wore this yesterday when it was approximately 150% humidity out. Shew, my hair you guys. Nothing can stop it in this weather! If I could write a love letter to swingy sweaters, I would. This gray Loft sweater (it comes in maroon, too) is on major repeat right now. It is getting me through so many major seasons right now. That includes this weird transitional weather, where it is hot one day and chilly the next. It helps for the days when I am craving Fall clothes, but don’t want something too heavy. I also love that it works with my post-baby body so well. Plus, there is a bow in the back, and you can never go wrong with a bow. Ever.
Thank you for reading and hope you have a great week! -XO
