Floral looks always get me. They are classic, feminine go-to’s that I have been wearing since I was toddling around in Laura Ashley’s finest. Every year, my mom would take me to the Laura Ashley store in our mall to pick out a new dress for Easter. I always picked the loudest, most colorful floral pattern, usually with a Peter Pan collar. My bedroom comforters always matched the prints too, because there was never enough floral! I was so late 80’s/early 90’s it was awesome!
Luckily, I am a little less aggressive with my floral looks for my wardrobe and my home these days. (praise hands for that!) That being said, I absolutely love that florals have made their way back into what’s trendy for the last couple of years, and are still holding strong.
I prefer floral patterns to be larger in size and scale, and spread out on a solid background. In my opinion, white makes the most feminine and soft looking backdrop for a good floral print, particularly if pink is involved.
How To Style Floral Looks
I picked two floral off the shoulder tops that are on my radar right now for this style board. Side note: Is it bad to buy both now for post baby? One look is more casual and skewed for daytime in Summer. Cut off shorts and fun flip flops add a casual touch. The second look is great for cooler Summer weather or a night out. White denim and embellished slides dress it up, without going overboard.
For both looks, the same earrings and bag work. They’re both accessories in my closet and rotation right now, and both available from the Nordstrom Sale.
I know that styling a floral look can be daunting, but some great basics can make it super simple. Let me know if you like styling posts, because these are some of my favorite to put together!
Have a fabulous day babes! -XO
