Life lately is complete chaos, or at least that is how it feels.  Every second of every day has been scheduled and occupied.  Two weeks plus of solid go, go, go.  Life lately is emotional and full of change, which pregnancy hormones do nothing to help.

We are officially not in New Jersey anymore.  That feels so weird to say.  On Saturday, movers spent the whole day packing our house into a big truck and sending it on its way to Atlanta.  Josh has been there for two months working already and the kids and I will head down later this week.

This has been the hardest move ever, so far.  The kids have been heart broken, especially Avery.  There have been daily tears and meltdowns.  I have been so sad to say goodbye to so many friends and being so close to so many of my childhood and college friends.  I try to keep reminding myself we are a short plane ride away.

Both kids finished school on Friday.  Greyson is officially done with pre-school and on his way to kindergarten!  We are all so ready for some time off from the daily grind!

Avery’s sweet classmates made her a goodbye book .

I have squeezed in as many Barre3 workouts as possible!  I already miss my Livingston studio so much!  Thank goodness for their awesome online workouts!

Lots of fun with friends every single evening after school to get in goodbyes!  Pottery making is at the top of our list of new fun activities!

My sweet guy’s last day as a pre-schooler!

We had the best group of movers who let Greyson participate in everything.  He got to honk the horn on the truck and asked them 42389023 questions about everything!

It’s such a strange feeling to live this life we have built and lived behind.  We are all a little unsure about this next chapter, but hoping it will be great.  I’m really struggling with moving the kids, their feelings and them adapting to a new environment and life.   I have cried daily for the last couple of weeks, so I can only imagine how hard this is for my sweet babies beyond what they have already expressed.

If you have any great Atlanta area recommendations or tips please send them my way!

  1. Ugh I remember how hard our move was on me when my parents moved me from Ohio to Florida so I feel what Avery is going through. Hopefully she meets some amazing new friends soon and both of them adjust quickly! And hope things settle down for you, I can only imaging how crazy things have been for you lately! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

    • Thank you! I hope she makes some friends because it really is the hardest on her. I just wish I could be drinking some wine through all of this!

  2. Thinking of you, mama. Moving is always so bittersweet and I can’t even imagine how hard it is for kids to process. You are doing great though and they are going to LOVE life in Atlanta!

    • I hope we love it too! You know I am looking forward to Bar Taco (especially when I can have a marg!) more than anything!!

  3. I can only imagine how crazy life has been. You’ve handled it like a chap though, and I know you all will love your move to ATL. It may take some time, but you all will adjust great :). Thinking of you!! Xo

    • Thank you love! It has definitely been crazy… I just want everything to go as smoothly as possible!

  4. Sending lots of hugs and good vibes your way!! I cannot imagine how hard this move must be, especially seeing how hard it’s been for the kids. The good thing is they’re both at such an adaptable age for moving so while the beginning will be tough it will get easier for them as time goes on. I still can’t believe you’re doing all this while pregnant!! You are a true rockstar!

    • Thanks friend! I hope it goes well, these kids are total wackos sometimes! I swear we ONLY move if I am pregnant! I have to stop having kids 😂
