I am so behind at getting our house together, and we are finally finished with everything in it, after almost three years. It has been a lot of work and has come really far since we moved in three Summers ago. Having a handy husband is definitely cost-efficient and helpful when it comes to home projects, that’s for sure!
With all of that being said, we have some big news: we are moving to Atlanta this Summer. It’s so crazy to think about because New Jersey has been our home for almost six years, since we left Los Angeles. We have so many amazing friends and our kids have built relationships and had most of their life experiences so far here. It’s very bittersweet to be leaving and starting a new chapter.
So, that brings me to this post and some more coming up. I am trying to document all of our rooms in our house that I love because I know that when we move all of our tastes will change and everything will look totally different. I started with Avery’s room today because it is my favorite room in the house. It’s very vintage-y and I love the gray and gold combo on her main wall. Trust me, that wall was a labor of love, hand cutting each star out.
This room was formerly the master bedroom, but we decided it was the perfect spot for our little lady to play and grow. We got a day bed because the space is long and narrow and doesn’t fit a traditional bed well. We also turned her closet into a combo closet and play space, so most of her toys are hidden in there.
I love how sunny and bright this space is and I think I am going to miss it more than anything else in this house when we leave. Hope you enjoyed it too!
Have a fabulous day! -XO
